Event Recap
The March 3, 2025 episode of WWE Raw had the kind of energy you want coming out of a big weekend—some heated promos, a few title matches, and one massive title change that flipped the women’s division upside down. The night opened with CM Punk in a foul mood, unloading on John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, only for Seth Rollins to show up and spark a wild brawl that had officials scrambling to break it up. In the ring, the champions had a busy night. The War Raiders defended the World Tag Team Titles against The Creed Brothers, surviving a hard-hitting match before putting Brutus Creed away with the War Machine to retain. Gunther also handled business, overpowering Otis with his usual brutal offense before putting him down for the win. The women’s division stayed busy too, with Lyra Valkyria successfully defending the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Ivy Nile in a competitive match that had a few believable near falls before Valkyria finally sealed it. But the biggest moment of the night came in the main event when Rhea Ripley defended the Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY. The match was intense from the start, but chaos at ringside changed everything—Bianca Belair’s involvement created just enough distraction for SKY to hit the Over the Moonsault and pin Ripley clean to capture the title. The crowd clearly didn’t expect that one, and honestly neither did I, but it instantly set up a huge WrestleMania clash between SKY and Belair while Ripley was left staring at the lights and probably wondering how it all slipped away.

Summary
Gunther stepped into the ring with Otis and immediately turned the match into a test of raw power. Otis actually had a few moments early on, surprising the World Heavyweight Champion with some quick offense and even landing the Caterpillar to get the crowd fired up. For a second it looked like Otis might push Gunther harder than expected, but the champion eventually took control with his usual punishing strikes and brutal chops. Once Gunther slowed things down, the momentum flipped completely. He battered Otis with heavy lariats and a massive boot before finally hoisting him up and driving him down with a thunderous powerbomb. That was enough to keep Otis down for the three-count, giving Gunther a decisive win and another reminder that stepping into the ring with him usually ends the same way—with someone staring up at the lights.
Summary
Lyra Valkyria defending the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Ivy Nile turned into a physical, back-and-forth match that felt like two wrestlers trying to prove they belonged in the spotlight. Nile leaned heavily on her strength, tossing Valkyria around early and trying to overpower the champion with suplexes and submission attempts. Valkyria had to rely on speed and counters just to stay alive, slipping out of holds and firing back with sharp kicks and quick aerial offense. The pace picked up as both women traded near falls, with Nile coming dangerously close after a series of powerful throws. Valkyria eventually created just enough space to hit her finishing move, Nightwing, and scored the pinfall to retain the championship. It wasn’t a walk in the park for the champion, but she left with the title still around her waist.

Summary
This match was basically two powerhouse teams smashing into each other for ten straight minutes, and honestly that’s exactly what it needed to be. The Creed Brothers came out aggressive, trying to overwhelm Erik and Ivar with their amateur wrestling background and quick tags. They had several moments where it looked like the champions might actually be in trouble, especially when the Creeds isolated Erik and kept him trapped on their side of the ring. Once Ivar finally got the hot tag, though, the entire match changed. The big man bulldozed both opponents and started throwing bodies around like it was nothing. The chaos spilled outside the ring before the champions regained control, and the finish came when Erik and Ivar hit the War Machine on Brutus Creed to score the pin and retain their titles after a bruising fight.
Main Event
Summary
The main event easily had the most drama of the night. Rhea Ripley came in looking confident as the champion, but IYO SKY wasted no time pushing the pace and forcing Ripley to keep up with her speed. SKY mixed high-risk offense with quick counters, while Ripley leaned on power and tried to slow things down whenever she could. The match kept building with close calls on both sides, and the crowd could feel something big coming. The turning point happened when Bianca Belair appeared at ringside, distracting Ripley just long enough for SKY to capitalize. With the champion momentarily thrown off, SKY climbed to the top rope and connected with the Over the Moonsault to score the pinfall and win the Women’s World Championship. Just like that, Ripley’s reign ended and SKY walked out with the title in a result that caught plenty of people off guard.
