Event Recap
Friday night in Washington, D.C. delivered a SmackDown stacked with qualifiers, solid wins, and a main event that ended with chaos — just the way a February card should feel as we edge closer to Elimination Chamber. Naomi lit up the ring early, hitting a picture-perfect split-legged moonsault to pin Chelsea Green and snag her spot in the women’s Chamber match. Watching her hit that move on the champ and get the three was a crowd-pleasing moment that felt earned. Tag team veterans Motor City Machine Guns stayed sharp, rolling up Los Garza with Skull & Bones in a tag bout that was crisp and fun without dragging. LA Knight kept his momentum rolling with a decisive win over The Miz, landing a BFT and elbow drop for the pin, and afterwards even threw serious shade toward United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Carmelo Hayes reminded everyone he’s in the mix too, schooling R-Truth with Nothing But Net in his singles outing.
The Women’s Championship match between Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax delivered plenty of intensity — Jax looked dominant for big chunks, but when Candice LeRae interfered, it got ugly and the champion kept her belt via disqualification. Trish Stratus’ run-in to make the save was a fun surprise, only for Charlotte Flair to stroll out and flat-out declare Tiffy Time at WrestleMania. The main event triple threat saw Damian Priest battle Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu for a men’s Chamber berth, and with a little accidental chaos involving Solo Sikoa and Cody Rhodes, Priest hit South of Heaven on Strowman to punch his ticket. All told, the show mixed hard-hitting matches and big moments — even if some finishes felt a bit too booked for heat rather than clarity — and left plenty of smoke in the air heading into the next big show.

Summary
Naomi and Women’s U.S. Champion Chelsea Green kicked off SmackDown with a spirited qualifying match that delivered more action than most expected. Green used her experience in the early going, grounding Naomi with chops and boots before switching gears and showing off some ring savvy. But Naomi kept rattling her with strikes and counters, building momentum bit by bit. After trading near-falls and quick reversals, Naomi finally hit a split-legged moonsault clean in the middle of the ring and scored the decisive pinfall to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. That splash felt huge on its own — and it gave Naomi some real bragging rights going into the big match

Summary
In a brisk tag bout, Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) took on Los Garza (Angel & Berto) with a heavy dose of tag teamwork. Sabin and Shelley hit quick tags, crisp double-team maneuvers, and hit Skull & Bones on one of the Garzas to put him away. The Garzas fought back with hustle and high-impact strikes of their own, but the Guns controlled enough of the match to pick up a clean win. It wasn’t the longest match of the night, but it was a tidy reminder that MCMG still bring that veterans-with-fire energy.
Summary
LA Knight and The Miz brought contrasting styles in this mid-card singles showdown. Miz tried to out-wrestle Knight with technical chops and ring craft, complete with trademark bravado and trash-talk, but Knight just kept rolling forward with shoulder tackles, strikes, and that booming presence that makes him hard to stop once he gets going. After wearing Miz down with a series of corner splashes and a big clothesline, Knight finally hit his signature BFT and slapped on the cover for a convincing pinfall. It was exactly the kind of “get back on track” win Knight needed here on SmackDown
Summary
Carmelo Hayes had a fun, almost playful singles match with R-Truth that leaned into Truth’s unpredictable energy. Truth brought his typical off-beat offense and occasional comedy bump spots, while Hayes stayed crisp and professional with sharp strikes, springboard moves, and calculated counters. Ultimately, Hayes’ athletic edge told in the end; he snagged the win with his well-executed offense and looked like he wasn’t even breaking a sweat while doing it. Fans got a light-hearted yet solid match out of this one, and Hayes didn’t look bad at all as he picked up the pin.
Summary
This main event-ish bout saw Tiffany Stratton defend her Women’s Championship against powerhouse Nia Jax in a match with real teeth. Jax used her size and strength early, driving Stratton into corners and slamming her around the ring like she planned on ending the match early. Stratton fought back with speed — handspring elbows, drop-toeholds and a moonsault attempt — but the turning point came when Candice LeRae interfered, brawling with Stratton at ringside and drawing a disqualification. Technically, Stratton retained the title because of the interference, but it didn’t feel like a clean win. Afterward, Hall of Famer Trish Stratus ran down to neutralize Jax and LeRae, leading to a post-match moment that reminded everyone this feud is far from over.

Summary
The men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying triple threat closed SmackDown with a thunderous brawl. Braun Strowman brought brute force, Jacob Fatu brought savage intensity, and Damian Priest brought that mix of agility and power that makes him so dangerous. The three men cracked into each other with counters, big strikes, and moments where it absolutely looked like any of them could score the pin. In the final moments, after a chaotic exchange and a skid-off involving Solo Sikoa, Priest connected with South of Heaven on Strowman and sealed the victory to punch his ticket into Elimination Chamber. All three looked tough as nails, but Priest walked out with his hand raised — and probably a huge grin on his face.
