Dillster Knows Best: Backlash Predictions

With Backlash sitting just two and a half weeks away, WWE better stop flirting with ideas and start locking things in. WrestleMania gave us moments, but Backlash is where direction gets defined. And right now there are a whole lot of ingredients cooking with no finished plate in sight.

That is where I come in.

These are not safe picks. These are not recycled takes. These are Dillster’s Bold Predictions, cleaned up, dialed in, and ready to hit harder than a Monday Night opener.

Because one thing we know…
Dillster Knows Best! ...And if he does not, he really does not care what you think.

So let’s get into it.

WWE Tag Team Championship

The Vision (c) vs. The Street Profits

Let’s start with the one that had everybody scratching their heads.

The Street Profits randomly coming to the aid of Seth Rollins on Raw? Yeah, on paper that makes about as much sense as a ladder match in a cage. But do not overthink it. This is WWE laying breadcrumbs.

Because what matters is not the why. It is the what comes next.

And what comes next is simple. The Profits are circling the gold.

One of the most electric tag teams in the company has been sitting just outside the spotlight, waiting for the right moment. Meanwhile, The Vision walked into WrestleMania as champions and walked out the same way without even having to defend. That is not dominance. That is avoidance.

Backlash changes that.

Expect a few more weeks of tension building, maybe a tag match preview, maybe some chaos, but all roads lead to this showdown. The Profits bring the energy, the chemistry, and the hunger.

Prediction: The Street Profits take the titles.
This is the reset the division needs. The Vision had their moment. Now it is time for the Profits to remind everyone exactly who runs tag team wrestling.

Fatal Four-Way – United States Championship

Trick Williams vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Sami Zayn

Now this is how you build a Backlash match.

You take four guys who have history with the title, mix in some unfinished business, and let the chaos do the storytelling.

Trick Williams is riding high after knocking off Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. That alone puts him front and center. But then you have Carmelo Hayes, who got completely robbed of his Mania moment and has every reason to be furious.

And let’s not forget Ilja Dragunov, the human definition of intensity, who does not need a reason to turn a match into a war.

These four are the last four men tied to that title. So instead of picking one contender, you throw them all in and let them cook.

Prediction: Carmelo Hayes wins.
Call it redemption. Call it overdue. Melo walks out with the gold after surviving absolute chaos and reminding everyone why he is HIM.

Women’s United States Championship

Tiffany Stratton vs. Giulia

First off, how were these two not on WrestleMania?

You have Tiffany Stratton, a walking superstar with main event written all over her, and Giulia, who has that international aura and presence you just cannot teach. And somehow they both got left off the biggest show of the year.

That is a miss.

But Backlash is the correction.

Giulia already picked up a win over Tiffany on SmackDown, and whether it felt random or not, it did exactly what it needed to do. It created intrigue.

Now you have momentum versus inevitability.

Because let’s be real, you can delay it, you can tease it, you can build around it, but you cannot stop it.

Prediction: Tiffany Stratton wins the title.
This is the beginning of the push. The moment. The takeover.

Because whether you like it or not…

Tiffy Time is coming. Dill with it.

Asuka vs. Iyo Sky Battle for the Custody of Kairi Sane

Yeah, you read that right.

And honestly, this might be the most entertaining story on the card.

This one has been simmering for months, maybe even longer. Two of the most talented women in the world, Asuka and Iyo Sky, finally colliding over one very important prize.

Kairi Sane.

Iyo has been left on her own with roster shifts happening, while Kairi seems stuck in a situation that is less than ideal. And if Iyo is anything, she is loyal.

This is not just a match. It is a rescue mission.

And thematically it works. Iyo as the heart. Asuka as the chaos. Kairi caught in the middle.

Prediction: Iyo Sky wins.

The fans get what they want. Kairi gets her freedom. And Iyo re-establishes herself as one of the most naturally beloved stars on the roster.

World Heavyweight Championship__

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu

Now let’s talk about the one that is not even trying to be subtle.

When someone is out there on Monday Night Raw repeatedly saying the word Backlash, that is not a hint. That is a billboard.

Jacob Fatu is getting his moment.

And honestly, good. The guy is built like a problem and fights like one too. This is the kind of spotlight he has earned.

But across the ring is the Tribal Chief.

Roman just went through a war to secure that championship again, and you think it is ending here at Backlash against a rising star, no matter how dangerous?

Not happening.

Prediction: Roman Reigns retains.
Too soon. Too big. Too much invested.

But the story does not end with the bell.

Watch Jey Uso.

That tension has been there. It has been building. And Backlash might be the moment it finally snaps.

A turn. A betrayal. A shift in power.

That is the real takeaway.

Final Thoughts

Backlash is not about closing chapters. It is about choosing which ones matter.

You have rising stars ready to break through, veterans fighting to stay on top, and just enough chaos to flip everything upside down.

Titles will change. Alliances will crack. And at least one moment will have everybody saying, “Yeah, that changed everything.”

And when it all plays out just like I said?

Do not act surprised.

Just remember who called it.

Dillster Knows Best.
