KM Punk's Pipe Bombs: NXT Deep Cuts

NXT DEEP CUTS
Different from my previous NXT article, this list focuses on a group of future superstars who may not be fully polished just yet, but are loaded with potential and simply need more time to develop. The talent here is undeniable. Bursting with athleticism, raw ability, and flashes of greatness that hint at what’s to come. With continued growth, experience, and the right opportunities, these names have all the tools to evolve into major players and eventually cornerstones to your Fantasy Faction.
Tony D’Angelo
Tony D’Angelo could easily be on my last list as the first NXT Grand Slam champion. I’m just not convinced he has what it takes to be a main roster superstar. Over the years, he has shown a steady improvement in the ring, natural leadership presence, and the ability to anchor storylines. D’Angelo feels like a future mid-card player who can easily slide into upper-card, à la Sami Zayn
Tatum Paxley
Tatum Paxley brings a unique, almost chaotic energy that gives her a distinct lane in a crowded division. She’s a former NXT Women’s Champion and the Current NXT North American Champion (despite what Blake Monore says). Her character work leans into unpredictability, and that’s something the main roster loves when it’s executed well. In the ring, she’s strong, with a willingness to take risks that make for memorable moments. If she continues refining her persona and tightening her storytelling, she could be one of the future greats. Picture Shawn Michaels moves in Alexa Bliss’s frame.
Izzy Dame
As the leader of The Culling, Izzy Dame has the kind of physical presence and confidence that immediately stands out. Shawn Spears & Nico Vance sort of melt into the background when she’s on camera. She carries herself like a star already. As her character becomes more defined, she projects as a powerful, credible threat in the women’s division. If you need an example of someone who can believably dominate, watch any of her matches in her feud with Tatum Paxley.
Dion Lennox
Dion Lennox has the raw tools you can’t teach. He has size, athleticism, and presence, and as the leader of Dark State, he’s beginning to put those pieces together. What stands out is his upside; he feels like a future major player who could make a big leap with the right push. Lennox has held gold as an NXT Tag Team Champion, but don’t expect that to be the last belt he holds before going to the main roster. Dark State gives off major Shield vibes. Does this mean Dion Lennox is the next Roman Reigns? Probably not, but time will tell
Kendal Grey
Kendal Grey is building a reputation as a technically sound, no-nonsense competitor, and that foundation travels well to the main roster. She wrestles with purpose, showing a strong grasp of pacing and ring psychology that helps matches feel grounded and believable. It’s not uncommon for people to bring up Kurt Angle when describing Grey’s moves. With continued character development, alongside the more gregarious Wren Sinclair, and more opportunities to showcase personality, Grey could evolve into a generational talent.
Zaria
With the hair and the Ultimate Warrior-esque makeup, Zaria has an undeniable aura. Her presence alone commands attention before she even makes a move. She combines power with surprising agility, making her offense feel impactful and dynamic. What makes her especially promising is how naturally she carries herself like a star, which is half the battle on the main roster. I’m excited to see what’s next once she leaves her (too long) feud with Sol Ruca behind.
Fallon Henley
She’s a former NXT North American Champion and Speed Champion, so Shawn Michaels clearly sees something there. As a member of Fatal Influence and one of Jacy Jayne’s lackeys, I think she easily gets lost in the background. She’s versatile in the ring, capable of adapting to different opponents and match styles, which is a huge asset at the next level. Henley’s mix of toughness and consistency gives her a high floor and a sneaky high ceiling. She could be great on the main roster. She could also easily fall into the low card and have next to no impact on a Fantasy Faction.
Tavion Heights
Tavion Heights brings a legitimate athletic background that translates into a smooth, credible in-ring style. His grappling base gives him a different texture compared to many peers, and that uniqueness can be a major asset. As he continues to develop charisma and character depth, Heights projects as a technically proficient competitor who could carve out a niche as a serious, no-frills threat with breakout potential.
Keanu Carver
Keanu Carver has the kind of size and presence that immediately positions him as a potential difference-maker. He feels like a throwback powerhouse with modern athletic ability, which is always a valuable combination. He would even feel a little bit out of place standing next to Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. As he gains experience and refines his in-ring storytelling, Carver could emerge as a dominant force, delivering impactful performances on the main roster stage.
EK Prosper
EK Prosper is still developing, but the flashes are there. Specifically in terms of athleticism and intensity. He moves with purpose and has a natural explosiveness that can be molded into a compelling in-ring style. The next step is defining who he is as a character, but if that clicks, Prosper has the upside to become a dynamic, high-energy performer who can stand out in a competitive main roster environment.
